Tropical Acres Farms, Inc. was founded in July 2011 by Alexander Salazar, a South Florida native with a lifelong passion for mangos. The farm was initially established on 5 acres of land in Loxahatchee Groves, FL.
In 2012, a partnership was formed with the Sturrock family on their historic property in West Palm Beach, where mangos have been grown since the 1920s. Since then, all production has been relocated to this site.
Alexander Salazar and his wife, Rebecca Principal-Salazar, are dedicated to the conservation, cultivation, and production of tropical fruits, including mangos, avocados, sapodillas, and mamey at Tropical Acres Farms.
Their passion for preserving agricultural diversity drives their commitment to ensuring a sustainable future for tropical fruit farming, with a particular emphasis on mango cultivation.
The farm’s focus includes nurturing the next generation of farmers, ensuring that knowledge and resources for successful mango cultivation are passed down. Their efforts not only benefit the agricultural industry but also contribute to the broader community by providing fresh, nutritious, and high-quality local produce to local tables.
